Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F / 190°C.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with the lemon pepper seasoning, salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
Cooking
  1. Place a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  2. Stir the minced garlic into the melted butter and cook briefly, stirring constantly, until fragrant while keeping the garlic from browning.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the skillet and sear for 5–7 minutes per side, until golden brown.
Baking
  1. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake the chicken breasts for 18–22 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C.
Serving
  1. Take the chicken from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes. Finish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For thicker chicken breasts, pound them slightly to help them cook more evenly.
