Ingredients

Creamy Beef Pasta
  • 1 lb (454 g) ground beef
  • 3 teaspoons olive oil
  • 5–6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 8 oz (227 g) Bowtie Pasta
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup half and half (or whole milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Garnish
  • 1–2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Method

Cooking
  1. Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add the onion and garlic to the browned beef. Cook for 2–3 minutes, until the onion is soft and translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
  3. Mix in the Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add the butter and allow it to melt. Pour in the beef broth, bring to a simmer, and cook for 3–4 minutes to reduce slightly.
Pasta
  1. While the sauce simmers, cook the bowtie pasta in a separate pot according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Sauce
  1. Pour the half and half (or whole milk) into the reduced beef broth mixture, then stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  2. Season the sauce with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir and cook for 2–3 minutes to combine.
Assembly
  1. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated with the creamy beef and Parmesan sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve hot and garnish with the fresh parsley.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently and add a splash of milk if the sauce thickens.
